What happens when a regular yet feisty girl, Perenelle Richards, is given a winning lottery ticket by a stranger that she happens to bump into-- Literally?

Perenelle Richards is a normal girl who works as a barista at a coffee shop. She is a part time student, and works full time hours, but she is still just scraping by with all the bills that pile up every month. She has been a good person so far in life, and doesn't remember having done anything to deserve to struggle this much... or at least she think she hasn't.

Xavier Nichols has known Perenelle since they were kids but they haven't seen each other since he transferred schools due to his father's dream of him becoming a professional football player; but that didn't stop Xavier from falling in love with her before he had to leave. That is until he walks into a coffee shop in his hometown after visiting his mother and sees a very familiar head of wild chocolate brown curls. But when he introduces himself to this barista he is shocked that, not only is it Perenelle but, that she doesn't seem to know who he is.

What happened to Perrie after Xavier left? What will happen now that he is back in town?
