Izuku Yagi is the twin of Izumi Yagi, son of Allmight the #1 hero, and son of the #9 hero Telekinetics. He was neglected since being diagnosed quirkless so he would alway be upstairs in his room playing VR and mmorpg games. When the game Magical Sword Gale Online or MSGO came out he immediately bought it and became a beta tester. Before the game was out something happened that will be explained in the book. When the game was out he bought it and started playing it. But then something happened, he was trapped. Follow Izuku after escaping the game and his adventures at UA.

His mother, feeling sorry for him, bought him a Nervegear and the MHO beta to help him gain confidence. He was one of the fortunate few gamers who received the initial shipment of the game upon the launch of the official service. He logs on and discovers himself, along with 10,000 others, in the beautiful and intricate Musutafu world, which is full of Super-Heroes, Super-Villains, and strong quirks/powers. The gamers quickly come to the painful realization that they cannot log out since the game's designer has imprisoned them in his new universe. Deku will now need to communicate and work with his fellow players to escape Musutafu. Some of them are comrades, while others are enemies, such as Ochaco Uraraka, a.k.a. Uravity, who is in charge of the main group trying to flee the brutal game. Even worse, My Hero Online is not just for entertainment purposes; if a character dies in Musutafu, they also perish in real life. Deku must adjust to his new environment, battle for his life, and attempt to escape his virtual prison.

Izuku Yagi was diagnosed quirkless, and since then his life has been miserable. His parents totally forgot about him, and he has to work to get money for food and clothes. His own twin younger sister and her friends (Katsumi, Shoka) make his life miserable. One day after running away from his tormentors he was hiding inside of a cave. He then heard a voice, and he went further inside to find and he found this altar with a sword invented on stone. He heard the voice calling him to pick up the sword which he does, and he pulled it out of the stone then a huge power surge went around his body. He passed out from the power surge that he consumed. He woke up to be in the presence of the Number One Hero of the world and The number one hero of France. They explain that he pulled a curse sword called Inetsu, and that it will cause him to lose his humanity. Izuku broke down crying from all of the pain, and suffering he suffered but Mihawk told him that he still can be a hero. He tells Izuku he will adopt him, and trained him to become a hero. Izuku takes this opportunity to go away and come back even stronger. He will show the world and his past he can be a hero. He won't longer be Izuku Midoriya but Ikki Kurogane
