To be pretty you have to be skinny, right? It started with a deal. No, it started with Fawne. A 21 year old with a weight problem. It isn't her fault more like it was the fault of other people around her. Due to low self-esteem and always being compared to her best friend, she turns to food for comfort. No matter what happened, food did not made fun of her or told her she had lose weight. It stayed silent and let her eat. But things turn around when a handsome stranger walks into McDonald where Fawne works at. After a simple whisper of words, Fawne is stringed into a scandal of a life-time. Now holding a dark secret in her hands, dealing with starving models and a best friend who does nothing but brings her down, this deal seems to be more like a Big Mac Mistake.

He brushed his lips against my jaw, his dark hair falling over his brow. "Open your eyes," he commanded. "Look at me." I followed his orders and looked into the raven-black depths before me. I saw my entranced gaze reflected in his glaring one. "Tell me what you see." I kept on looking at him, searching for something, anything, that remained of the person he used to be. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. But his eyes were so dark, so empty . . . "Nothing. I see nothing," I whispered. He smirked, his gaze still on me. He pulled away, leaving me feeling cold. "Exactly. You see nothing - that's because there's nothing there." ** How much can a person change in just three years? Short and full of fiery spirit, Hanna Jordan is a gifted college student who is enrolled in one of the most prestigious culinary programs in the country. She's just returned from three years of study in France and is anxious to reconnect with her longtime friend, Rian Aronhalt. However, when she does finally see him, she's startled to find that he's become an entirely different person. Cold, ill-tempered, and exceptionally attractive, Rian is absolutely nothing like his old self. Worst of all, he claims he doesn't even remember her. Despite their differences, both are haunted by dark memories of the past, which form a poisonous bond between Hanna and Rian that neither can escape from. Can they both heal from the scars time left behind, and find love in the process?

"Because you have parents that love you. You have parents that support you and yet you think your life is so bad just because stupid kids pick on you." "I... don't have it easy." I mumbled. "You don't know. You can't even imagine how it is. Being bullied every single day just because you're you. They don't even see me as a person, you know? I'm just it. I'm just a thing. I'm not 'Quince the person'. I'm 'Quince the looser', the venting tool, the dirt beneath your feet." ~~~ Quince has been bullied, fat shamed, and terrorized by the people at her school ever since junior high. It hasn't gotten any better over the past years especially with being in a small town where a majority of the population were "model worthy." She was left out of place, but not for long! When a group of new kids come to town Quince will join their forces and learn the true value of self beauty. Though it will be difficult, Quince is determined to show her town that beauty lies in the core, but what happens when Quince's task becomes something much more bigger then she anticipated? "Can we stop feeling guilty, Amelia? Guilty for all the things that weren't our fault." "We can Leo. Maybe someday." "That day isn't far off Amelia. I'll make sure of it." ___________________________________ There is a lot to think about when you find out your best friend has been raped and murdered. There is even more to think about when you're the last person she saw the night she died. But that's not what caused me to black out in the middle of a rocking party scene, surrounded by all the people I had known all my life. It was when I saw who had killed her. Hilarious, charming, the guy with the perfect quiff, and star quarter-back of the football team. He was loved by everyone. He was the guy you couldn't stay away from. Levi Harrison.
