She knows what it's like to lose the people she cares about. She knows what it's like to feel alone, trapped in a depressed mind that isn't her own. When death strikes once again, Maia struggles to cope with her ongoing grief. By the advice of her physiatrist, she is sent to a four week summer camp in Dowry Sound. Apprehensive at first, Maia struggles with the concept of leaving the only town she's ever known. But all this young girl wants is to to be fixed, and that's what keeps her going on this unpredictable journey. Soon, Maia meets Tray; a broken boy with a hurt heart. Alone, they are weak, but together they have the power to change both of their lives. All they need to do is agree to it. Little did they know however, that a simple promise could start something so much greater.
