They were hoping the bandaid they had used to lock the nogitsune deep in stiles's mind would last a little longer, it least till they could find another way to get rid of it for good. There kept being a new big bad though. When the next one finds out about a possible weakness in the pack, they have to find a way to get stiles back, and stop the new villain. Or risk losing him, and sending true evil out into the world.
