The year is 2041, humans have finally made contact with an alien race. Unfortunately, these are far from the friendly, peaceful, denizens humanity expected. Instead they are huge, mindless killers bent on the extermination of the human race. At first the world was confident these brutes, dubbed the Galaash for the noise they made when charging into battle, with no apparent technology except the ship that brought them would be wiped out in a month, but almost immediately any hope of survival was all but lost as humanity learned that nothing short of a tank can even scratch the monsters. Two years have passed and the US is the only country that has not fallen to the invasion in North America. Now the last hope for humanity is huge machines, designed entirely for the reason of killing the aliens, and their pilots. Michael and William Levene are two of these pilots, despite being only fifteen years old, and are seasoned veterans of the war. They'll save the world or, like so many of their friends, die trying.
