"Are you scared of me?" I break the silence. "Terrified." For a second his dark eyes are on mine, and he's quiet. Then he touches my face and leans in. I can tell he knows that I'm just as nervous as he is. I hate how I become vulnerable when it comes to him. Authors Note: I tried to make this story as book accurate as possible, but of course with their being a new leading character added, the story will not follow it directly. I did this on purpose. There are also head canons in this because of another character. Most important, this is a lesbian based fan fiction. I am not claiming Katniss's sexuality whatsoever, in fact, in the story, it is obvious that the insert character's love is completely one sided. This story can take on some adult themes and language, like the original trilogy does, so please be aware of that.
