Finally turning 18 and graduating high school, soft-hearted Nova travels to a small town near Paris, using the funds she'd saved from working part-time fast-food jobs. After using the majority of the money, grows desperate to find a new job to help cover the rent, she crosses the path of a small, failing bakery with a woman who's looking for help in her bakery after a devastating fall.
Determined to help revive the bakery, Nova takes over the cooking and chores, despite her still being a novice to the language and understanding of the country.
