Odette Night was loved by her whole pack. As the Alpha's only child she was set to inherit the pack. However when she doesn't change on her 16th birthday as most werewolves do she is pushed down to an omega, her father has another child with a she-wolf that lost her mate.
When Odette turns 17 she finds her mate, the future Alpha of the White Wolf pack, Asher Grey. He rejects her on sight and leaves without a second thought. With no other hope of escaping her pack she runs away, becoming a rouge.

Asher Grey had never been shown any affection from his father. The only person that had truly shown him any affection was his mother. When his mother dies giving birth to his younger siblings (twins) his father becomes much harsher and no longer shows any ounce of emotion.
On Ashers 16th birthday Asher doesn't find his mate, causing his father to arrange a matting for his son. Asher is given one year to find a suitable mate or else his father will choose for him.
His father dies shortly after his 17th birthday, Asher swears to himself that he'd find a strong suitable Luna for his pack in order to please his now dead father. Even if it means rejecting his mate.
On his 18th birthday he finds himself alone, unable to forget his rejected mates glittering broken blue eyes. His siblings attempt to save him from the inevitable depression but it would only work for a short while. They knew, even at their young age, that Asher needed his mate.
