It is 2149. The Earth has been consumed by a nuclear apocalypse. The lifeboat that saved humanity, The Ark, is running out of air. Ascana Zion, 17, is locked up in the highest level of solitary confinement. She knows every guard by name and has counted the days since her imprisonment. The chance of her release is relatively zero, though it would have been higher had she refrained from her second infraction.
She is no stranger to death. Infact, whispers say they are friends. She has planned for their sweet reunion the moment after her 18th birthday, and assumes the Ark has too.
