After a freak accident when she was a teenager, Clarissa Birdy finds herself in the heart of S.H.I.E.L.D under the watchful eye of Nick Fury. Years of training and a heartbreak later, Birdy is now what seems to be an unstoppable agent, giving even the greatest a run for their money- but she has a secret that could be the most dangerous weapon of all.
When a God from another world comes crashing down in New York with an army of aliens at his tail, Birdy is tasked with an important job: keep The Avengers safe. She catches the eye of the Super Soldier Captain America and forms an unusual friendship with Tony Stark; making her drop her guard and trust him with her secret, but it doesn't go unnoticed. Another mysterious force has learned what greater power lies within Earth's mightiest heroes and has set out to claim it for their own.
While trying to keep friendships, find new love and hide her secret, Clarissa discovers that she was never meant to keep The Avengers safe, but that The Avengers were keeping her safe all along.
