"Belle, you remember what you said, but not the language?"
I flicked my hair back, starting to believe them. "Uh, I guess. This...isn't normal," I half asked.
Warren turned back to us, his brow furrowed. "The intrigue is indescribable." Then he grinned at me and came to sit next to me again, enveloping me in his arms. "May I hear of this dream?"
I turned to him then dropped my eyes, suddenly shy. "I was in a desert, I think. I couldn't really tell the details but it was scorching hot. But it wasn't me, it was someone else, like I was seeing the world through her eyes. She was near a pool of water and she was waiting for the man she loved. And when he came to her and they talked, I could tell that the love was new and they were both afraid that it wouldn't last."
"Why?" Ashley asked curiously.
"Well, he was apparently rich, with status I guess, and she seemed to not be all that important. So she was afraid that she wouldn't be allowed to be with him, and he was afraid she didn't believe his love because of his position." I glanced up at Warren, blushed. "I think my memories and feelings got mixed up with hers. He looked like you, so I guess I substituted." Then I frowned. "His eyes were different, though. Black."
"Mayhap his dominant feature to her?" Warren suggested.
"Yeah, maybe they were too ingrained in her psyche for you to substitute," Roger agreed.
"Anyone else wondering why Belle had that kind of dream?" Ashley asked.
"Maybe she's vibing someone," Roger grinned.
"You mean, I'm seeing into someone's life?" I asked incredulously.
He shrugged.
