Andrea Hernandez flees from her overbearing family with a will to make it on her own. She leaves behind any form of contact she had with her family and makes a promise to live for herself alone.

After being bullied and told she can't ever amount to anything all her life, she makes up her mind to have a baby of her own, someone who would love her and depend on her without question, someone to call her own.
