Sophie Foster has been banned from the Lost Cities. She decides to go to the forbidden cities waiting for her friends to convince the council that she can come back. She takes up the role as the foster child a year ahead. Skipping from house to house to make sure the Neverseen don't catch her. But one day she goes to a new foster home with a strange boy and his girlfriend.
You only need to have read the KOTLC to understand the fanfic.
