Sama is a girl coming of age and obsessed with love stories. Her ob-session causes her to make a lot of mistakes and hurt herself. She has to learn what love truly is and teach herself how to be independent in the world of romance.
Right next to her is Jacob, also coming of age. J is a boy with a heart of Gold that lacks self-actualization. Struggling with getting a backbone of his own. J is easily controlled by his friends and family, simply because he has no idea who he is, he just becomes whatever he is told to be. Jacob has to learn how to make his own decisions, but more importantly he has to find himself.
The two falls in love and in teach each other life lessons without even realizing it. They may have been star-crossed, maybe Sama and J's love was the milestone they needed to overcome in order to find themselves in this large world.
This story is set in the present time in the affluent society of South Africa. A secluded area at the coast of cape town, where glamour is nothing short of diamonds and pearls. See how Sama, who has everything done for her learns to be independents and J who does whatever he is told learns to make his own decisions, and stand up for him himself .
