I jump, turning around and dropping the glass I had only just picked up. I awaited the sound of glass breaking, but nothing came.
"And you are" his voice was deep laced with a beautiful french accent.
My glass was in his hand, and he leaned lazily against the counter. My breath caught.

Time was standing annoyingly still and I think I may have forgotten how to properly breathe.
