A humble but poor, baker's girl who has been tormented her whole life by her local gang, is quick to catch the eye of the dangerous and callous leader of a new power that has overtaken control of her area. 

Léon Clemote is a stone-cold mob boss that often allows his interests to devolve into obsessions. And, he begins to take a deadly interest in this humble baker's little girl. 

Despite Allison Lachat's fear for these horrible mafia men, the fate of everyone she knows and loves is in this relentless man's hands. Unwillingly, she is left with no other choice but to give in to his affections; unbeknownst to the extent of his obsession with her. 

Set in the late 1970's - the early 1980s, France.
