After Virgil makes his way to the safety of Oregon City, Virgil turns to the mysterious Irish woman named Madame Rosalind Foster to help him understand his strange new powers and the forces that might be pursuing him. As the love between Virgil and Rosalind blossoms, the surrounding danger also grows. Will Virgil escape the mysterious evils chasing him and get a taste of interracial love forbidden to him by the society in which he lives?
