In this fanfic Marinette has been bullied and kinda abused by adopted parents (Sabrine and Tom). Mari had been living in Gotham until she was around 6 when she was adopted and taken to Paris as she still wishes dearly who her biological parents are. However she did have a family of villains and Jason (until one day she never saw him again around age 4 as she misses him dearly he was a brother to her) in Gotham. Around 13 Mari finds her biological parents as they learn everything that has been going on with the bullying, abuse, and Hawkmoth. Read more to find out!!!! He supposes it won't kill him to try to work with this supposedly skilled class president if it means that everyone will get off his back for being 'aggressively asocial' (although he will still keep NDAs on standby).
