' DECEMBER 26, 2020. The disappearance of Tantei Pari, age 38.
The victim was last seen leaving the local residential home of her retired parents in Shinjuku City, Tokyo at approximately 9:25pm that night. No camera footage has turned up since. Her parents claim she would have been at her hotel by ten but her room had not been entered since she had left earlier that morning. No current ties have been linked to her case. '

Saihara Shuuichi has been working on this case since it first appeared, knowing that it wasn't every day that your boss went missing. Investigating was left to Tokyo's detective agencies rather than his own in Osaka, but things began to get much stranger. Her body was found in the Kabukicho region the same time as a second young woman disappeared from the same region, an exact month after the first disappearance. And the process continued, the body being discovered an exact month after a new disappearance. Now, due to his status as an experienced detective, he's being privately transferred over to the investigation. The problem is he has to go undercover to see if that will help find a lead since there was the chance his former boss had leaked information to the culprit.

Between meeting an aspiring astronaut he by no means meant to fall for, having to figure out a crime while things begin to get stranger and stranger and keeping his identity a secret, Saihara has to find a way to keep on his toes in heels.
