Midoriya Izuku was always tired of his siblings getting all the attention for the soul reason that they had quirks while he didn't. One day, while walking in an alley way, he gets attacked by his classmates, burned and bloodied while being made fun of for not having a quirk. The rage he had built up over the years was immense. Before he died however, a red ring fell from the sky and onto his finger, giving him the powers of the red lantern.

There are 3 Words to describe Izuku Yagi, Marine, Lantern and Hero. And as The Hero he was, Izuku sacrificed One for All in order to defeat Shigaraki and All for One, leaving him exactly as he was before he inherited his Father's Quirk. Growing up Izuku Midoriya always wanted to be a hero. He was already off to a great start when his quirk manifested. His parents' quirks combined and he was able to completely control fire.
