The body of a forth former called Michael Malaba has been found inside the Lobengula High School yard. Although it's been found hanging from a pine tree, something frightening about it makes one thing certain; his death wasn't a suicide; and it wasn't natural either.
When sixteen year old Isabel Ndlovu's nightmares slowly start to invade her reality, she knows she's the only person who can solve the mystery behind Michael's death. After all, only she can hear the whispers of his sad song; and only she knows that Michael's death will not be the last.
