The story takes place in Russia during the late 1800s to early 1900s. You follow the stunning Lada Ivanova, who are unhappily married to her abusive husband. One day as she is working in the yard, a mysterious man visits with a request of food and a bed for the night. Lada accepts, and learn that the man, Grigory Rasputin has been on a pilgrim trip, and is now heading to the Capital. A mutual fascination grows between the two of them. The pilgrim tells her that they will meet again, Lada however is not so sure. "Our paths will cross again, Mrs. Ivanova." He kissed her hand and dissapeared into the night. This poor attempt at a book that is based of Alan Rickman's Rasputin (1996). It was such a good movie, and I feel as though it is not getting as much attention as it deserves! Please bear with me, this is my first book ever, and I am pretty sure no one is going to read it :)
