It's been 50 years since an outbreak of a deadly neurotoxin caused the end of the "civilized" world. Cannibal caravans, militarized sewer people, feral pack-hunting orphans, and loyal-to-the-death families fight for the last remaining resources; in their growing desperation, they've become more dangerous than the infected themselves.

Things become even more complicated when a rogue gang of kick-ass nuns appears, recruiting women oppressed by the post-apocalyptic patriarchy to spread strange and powerful narcotics across the dismantled country. These drugs, they claim, are the cure to virus. Suddenly there is hope for humanity, hope even for the infected. But will that hope turn to horror when a world that has only known brutality for half a century attempts to re-create an already flawed system?

Summerland is the first part in a trilogy that details the social, cultural, and political repercussions of the post-post-apocalyptic reconstruction era, told through the eyes of four young people coming of age at the end of the end of the world.

Rise of the Dead | I de Lup1ne
46 partes Concluida Contenido adulto
Ten years after the battle at Single Oak, the four groups of Oregon are still reeling from its after effects. Territory lines were drawn and stories have been told, those who were heroes once are legends now. In order to avoid new conflicts, solstice gatherings between the groups' leaders were organized-but will they be enough? *** Phoenix has grown up only ever knowing two things. One, her group and fathers are the saviors of Oregon. Two, The Reaper's are not to be trusted. So when a mysterious stranger rescues her after a hunting trip gone wrong turns out to be none other than her mortal enemy she begins to wonder, are they all as bad as they seem? The death of Stephan has begun to deteriorate The Reaper's from the inside out. Infighting over who should be their next leader has created countless seasons of lacking supplies and structure. A lack of prey follows a famine. Strong leadership is in order and although Gerald can provide it, debate and rumors are spread about his chosen companion-Aleu, Stephan's once respected apprentice, now glued to his side in a relationship they never wanted-with no say in the matter. The only person who The Reaper's can put their hope into is Hawk, their new general, a powerful man willing to do anything to keep his group thriving. Hawk is torn between keeping his group safe and his own ambition, Aleu is tortured with a constricting life they hate and Phoenix wonders if she can truly trust her new acquaintances. Now the three must make a decision. Will pushing aside the past and working together to make peace be worth turning their backs on their groups or is blood the only cure for the misdeeds of the past? _____________________ Story rating: 17+ Content warnings: Childhood trauma, subtext of grooming, strong language, violence and gore This can hypothetically be read as a stand alone but it's recommended to read the original series first.

Through Blood and Ash. What's left after everything burns? --------- They warned us. We didn't listen. Now the world is dead - and the dead are all that's left. The year is 6062, and humanity has collapsed under the weight of its own arrogance. A cure meant to save us twisted into something monstrous, turning loved ones into soulless predators with only one instinct: kill. Cara has lost everything - her family, her home, and the illusion that safety still exists. With a small band of survivors, she clings to life on the run, haunted by the screams of those she couldn't save... especially her brother. But when a desperate choice forces them back into the infected zones, Cara will have to decide what's worse: the monsters outside, or the guilt that's been tearing her apart from within. In a world where hope is dying and nightmares walk in daylight, survival comes at a cost - and not everyone is willing to pay it. -------------------------------- REWRITTEN I've gone back and rewritten this story from the ground up. As well as changed the name. The original had a strong foundation, but I knew there was more I could bring to it-more depth, more heart, and a better reading experience. I truly hope you enjoy this new version. And if you're returning from the original, thank you for sticking with me-I hope this one resonates with you just as much, if not more.
