Ophelia Arrebol is the princess of her family's kingdom, Duende. She's on the cusp of being 18. With only six months until her 18th birthday, her father has decided to follow tradition in arranging her marriage with the man of his choice. Being the independent stubborn young woman she is, she has begged and pleaded for this tradition to end with her older brother, Chris. Chris was lucky and found the love of his life in his wife, Alyssa, having a family and kingdom of his own.
Ophelia has believed to find the love of her life as well in her lifelong forbidden romance with the son of the kings head guard.
Nicholas Zavala and Ophelia spent a majority of their lives loving each other. Although all in secret, they found peace in each others presence whenever they had the opportunities to see each other. In midnight strolls through the garden or Sunday escapes in the forests during the summer. With Nicholas following in his fathers footsteps, he's become an official palace guard making seeing each other a little more difficult especially with the arrival of the prince.
Prince Felix Pardo of Amorous was the kings choice of suitor for Princess Ophelia. He was more than the princess thought he'd be. Is the life she wants with Nicholas the life she deserves? Or will she fall for the prince's wits and charms and the undeniable spark that her father predicted?
With their spontaneous outbursts of affection along with evenings accidentally falling asleep stargazing, I think Princess Ophelia will have to make a decision between a love she dedicated her life to and one that came out of the blue.
