She was once normal until kidnapped and experimented for months and later escaped. Only when she returned, she was different and had magic. When her parents found out, they neglected her at the age of nineteen. When she was discovered by the Avengers, they kept her in the tower under close watch and with a shackle on her neck, keeping her from using her full power.

One day, after the attack on New York, Thor returns with his brother, Loki Laufeyson to help him understand and love Midgard like himself and see the true beauty and peace. He wants his brother back. If he turned peaceful, his sentence will be erased and he would join the Avengers once accepted.
When he first enters the main floor of the tower, his attention is on the unknown member who doesn't seem to know him either. She was kept in a saferoom with Pepper and other employees. Her not knowing him got his interest as well.
