Many eligible men want to court Bianca Curran. There is only one problem: Bianca's father won't allow Bianca to date until she reaches adulthood or unless and until her older sister, Katherine does-and Katherine has a reputation for being difficult.
Meanwhile, Andreas Naslund comes to Vancouver for the birthday of his cousin, Cammy Van Groningen, who gets the idea to match Andreas with Katherine. But the Curran sisters' cousin, Jocelyn Whitford, wants to enlist Andreas in her plot to ruin Bianca for her former fiancé, Alistair Hebblethwaite, who has named himself as a potential suitor to Bianca. But Andreas, decides, on his own, to pursue Katherine, despite difficulties-including another potential suitor for Katherine, her friends, and the fact that Katherine has decided she wants nothing to do with him-and he goes to great lengths to get Katherine to change her mind about him. But things get complicated when someone falls ill, someone else dies, a train explodes, and a convicted killer escapes from prison...
