Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. --- I Cor. 13:4-8a

Love is the greatest... But, what happens when love is not reciprocated? Or, is thrown back at you like worthless garbage? What if all you've experienced is abusive "love," and you've learned to fear love because you equate abuse and love as the same thing?

These were the dilemmas that our protagonists Ron Callahan and Rose Garcia faced.

Always faithful, mild mannered Ron did almost anything to make his wife happy. He thought he was in a happy, loving marriage until he found out that it was one-sided. All the sacrifices he did for his wife were not only ignored but thrown back at his face in the worst way.

Rose grew up in an abusive home. Her parents were both physically and emotionally abusive to each other and to their children. Rose herself was married to the same kind of person as her parents. She happened to be different, and all she wanted was freedom from the unending cycle she was stuck in.
These two broken people found refuge in Alastair and the Nevermore Sisterhood. Can the Nevermore Sisterhood help them heal? Would they discover love as well, or were they too afraid to even look for it?
