Qaasim, the oldest of six siblings, grew up knowing that one day he would be handed the mantle of leadership for the Quda'ah tribe, just as his father and his grandfather and all of his male ancestors had done.

He had led his whole life preparing so he could be the best leader for the people of his tribe. This meant doing whatever he had to do for the good of his tribe, even sacrifice his life. These principles had been taught to him form a young age so they were embedded in his brain.

He knew fear of Allah was the greatest thing he could possess so everything he ever did was for the pleasure of Allah and he feared Allah alone.

This resulted in his tribe being the most feared, wealthy and powerful tribe in Arabia at the time.

Inaayat bint-e-Abdullah

Inaayat was the only daughter of her parents, who were the leaders of the Azd tribe. Her older brother, Imran, was their father's successor. Their tribe was the second most powerful tribe in Arabia.

Growing up, Inaayat had watched her parent's love. Instead of decreasing, it had increased over the years. She could not help but wish for a love as pure as her parents'. Her family, although small was always close and Inaayat was always close to her brother, Imran. He, in turn, loved his sister and would do anything for her.

She had grown up knowing that her stay in her parent's tribe was just a temporary stay. Soon she would be married and move to her permanent home, the tribe of her husband. She did not resent this as she knew that marrying completed half her deen. So, she prayed that she got the love and affection that her parents had.
