Love And Lies
After her best friend, Marci, killed herself, Olivia Jensen goes back to school and tries to just keep her head down and not be noticed by anybody, like usual. But... everybody looks at her with sympathy now that Marci is dead. The amount of people who ask if she's okay before school starts is overwhelming, so she tries to leave, but stops when she sees Marci's locker covered in flowers and pictures of her. She then promises to find the bastard who killed her, because she knows Marci didn't kill herself, she would never do that to her parents. When she meets her new teacher, things start to get better for Olivia. She is happier around him, and she loves talking when she's with him. Jesabel's character has changed drastically since I last introduced her to the world (nearly NINE years ago! yikes!), and I wanted to make this story a more nuanced and modern take. When I had written White Lies, I had been just 14 years old. And I've done a ton of growing, learning, and unlearning over the years. This means that my characters have grown and developed with me.
