A few thousand years ago, the earth was the one we always knew, the science and technology advancement were amazing, after years of research,the doctor Jhonson invented what changed our way of being forever.
He created what's now known as athánatos, it's a serum, used to make people immortal, but it can also be turned into something way more dangerous. It can be used to shorten your lifespan, and make you grow instantly older. You can be born a few seconds ago and look like an adult that is already 40. Once the serum is injected into you it is random the age that you are going to be. The athánatos was first used to become immortal, the scientist all over the world predicted it but the earth got over populated. There wasn't any food for everyone. Only a few thousand people managed to survive; they are called the WS. They created the only nation still standing: Zeta. 
The WS decided to make some changes to male sure what happened a few thousand years ago never happen again.

Rule n°760: Every citizen born will receive the athánatos, they will grow to a certain age between 18 and 60 year old. A name, a place to live and a job will automatically be attributed to them. An IA named 09 will choose a time between 1 month and 1 year to live, after this time they will be terminated to avoid overpopulation, the only people not concerned about these rules are the WS and the scientist (to continue their research).

Rule n°761: Everyone that does not respect rule 760 will be named Z. The Z will be terminated immediately or bringed into a lab for experimentation.All Rights Reserved

This story follows the young prodigy Grant Alan, a scholar turned telekinetic, surviving in a strange new world after the colossal science vessel, the Halfpace, passes into a future very foreign to him, populated by anthropomorphic creatures that have dominated humanity after a planet-wide war. To ultimately find out what happened to the last vestiges of humanity, Grant must use his wits, friendships and newfound power to navigate this new and dangerous world while an ancient, malevolent force slowly corrupts its new anthro leaders. I wrote this because I was partly inspired by "A Man In A Beast's World" by @GhillieCamo. Admittedly, my head was kind of in two places when writing this. Part of me wanted to create this really thoughtful, slow-burning, thriller sci-fi story experience with lots of lore and things to mull over, and the other half wanted to make a human x anthro romance story, dripping with provocative scenes, dialogue and drama. I'd say the story has both, but more of the former, which I think is ultimately better than if it was the other way around. I don't claim to be the best, or even good, at storytelling, and there are definitely a couple issues I have in my story, but people have been telling me they really like this story. London, 2068. This is my personal account of the events that had happened. A crisis had taken over the entire world. Gas. Steam. It was the industrial revolution all over again. War machines were powered by gas furnaces. Cars ran on coal. It was choking us. Slowly killing us. I could not breathe, the only thing that my tongue could taste was charcoal and ammonia. I realised that I had to do something about the situation that I was in, lest I die a slow and horrible death. No. It wasn't just me. 18 million lives were at stake. Time was against me. But then again...when was time ever my friend?

The year was 2157 when Earth crumbled and governments fell. Most living things died and their was a silence on earth that was deafening. The first particles of disease fell in North America in the Spring of 2157 and began to scatter and mutate into virus and bacteria. Bombs sailed through cities leveling Government buildings, business and residential. Historians call this period Decay. Ricin poisoning and nerve gases were released. Citizens began to fall ill and die quickly. Later historians found out that a few middle east countries, China and Russia poisoned all food with Ricin. The food was then shipped to US, Canada, UK, many European countries. This period is only known as "Decay' Some humans survived. Either from paranoia or luck, so the stories go. The paranoid ones were waiting for the first signs of a fallout and when it began they hid in their underground 'storage containers'. These were completely sealed once someone closed the door. The doors were automated and within 2 to 5 years depending on the setting chosen the doors would automatically open. The history of the 'lucky ones' is that they knew someone who had a container and welcomed them, or they hid in the container until the family that owned it got in and sealed the door. And hope they would not be killed for trespassing. Now it is 2243. The world has drastically changed. In this world the 'Owners' and 'Potentials' rule the 'communities'. Guards police, keeping communities separated. The Powers rule over what was once called North America now simply called East Nation North (ENN). Superiors handle their community they are assigned to. Under the Powers, Superiors, Water Protectors, Guards, owners and potentials come the animal breeders next on the hierarchy. Then the last three levels don't really matter to anyone. Those are the baby breeders, slaves and throwaways. They have no say in anything.

Year 3071. Exoplanet Steel-1, the only planet in the system along with it's moon, was once a site for mass drone production factory called "Chimera's Dawn" by the JC Jenson company, later modified into a secret research facility, renamed to "Chimera's Fall", to investigate what caused the destruction of Earth and reason behind drones turning against humanity. Few years after the events on the Earth, something known as "The Absolute Solver" created a deadly energy shockwave on Steel-1, resulted in planet's decaying state, annihilated all humans, destroyed most of the machinery, and deactivated or damaged most of the drones on the planet. The surviving worker drones have established a survival base in an abandoned Communications and Surveillance Center called the "Steel Eye". Humanity used to thrive in 2035 until a group of scientists started playing God. This science team was recruited by all the top world leaders and they've begun receiving demands for a super soldier, and they began experimenting on animals, which gave the scientists expected results, but like all experiments, there was a chance for failure. The humanoid animals, or Anthros for short, started getting smarter, faster than the scientists expected, or reacted. The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. With death seeming inevitable for human kind, can nothing stop humanity from extinction? Zero has just graduated from high school with good marks and a scholarship. His family wanted to celebrate, so they said they would wait for him. He went back to grab his wallet, and as he turned around, he started falling in a wormhole, closing afterwards.
