Lori had run away from her old life. Now, in the city of sin, a place where no one had yet learned her name, she hopes to start fresh.
Bunking with a roommate from college, working random shifts at a nearby bar and scouring the internet for her next job opportunity, Lori had her plan set and no one would learn her secret.

However, the plan did not include shouting at her interviewer the night before the interview. And it most definitely did not account for her interviewer being the one and only devilishly handsome Jarod Garrison: CEO of the biggest chain of casinos plus much of the city.
Jarod had his ideal life. His empire, which he fought years for, stretched the city. Money, power, women, it was all his. But when the same ballsy girl that yelled at him the previous night unexpectedly walks into his office for the secretary-position interview, he suddenly wanted his business to be about her.

The last thing Lori needs is someone digging into her business, but she is not planning to fold or reveal her hand any time soon. However, the perfect cards come when one least expects it. Sparks will fly as the two work together, fighting for business, for secrets, for themselves, and maybe, for each other. Time is running out to act. The question is, will they fold under the pressure, or take a chance and go all in?
