Rook is dying. Dying from the plague that has been sweeping through Cynfael for nearly a year, and it seems all hope is lost. Then Rainn has an idea. To find the natural philosopher Erasmus Kaldrin, the world's greatest mind who has been researching the plague for a cure. Not knowing how long Rook has left, she makes her way to his tower Ataraxia, find the old man, and convince him to give her the cure or take it by any means necessary. To heal her mentor, trainer, and the only person she calls father.

The After Effects
After it all happened, the Plague created what feels like a whole new world. Survivors created new lives for themselves and carried on with their lives. Me? I didn't get the chance to create a new life. Thanks to my absolutely wonderful father figure, I was forced to become an entirely different person. Thankfully I was able to escape his peachy influence and take some control of my new life. What I don't know is the Plague brought on after effects. Everything changed eleven years ago and only a few knew what actually happened after billions of people died. That all changes one-day though and I found my life completely flipped upside down.
