This is basically a beta of my newest work, the Seventh Knight Awakens, so you can read that on my Ao3 if you want better quality, storytelling, and less grammatical errors.

Last time, the Hero lost. The Hylian Champion, chosen to destroy evil, slain, and a kingdom fallen in darkness' wake. Not two decades later, a young man with strange origins finds his path uncertain, as he learns he is a reincarnation of that same hero. Now, he must be the real hero among all those who have fallen.

Set in a version of Hyrule combining all elements from several mainline games.
(Several characters and concepts belong to Nintendo).

The Legend of Zelda: A Hero's Legacy by EffervescentElixir

The legend of the hero, Link, the Goddess reborn, Zelda, and evil reincarnate, Ganon has been ingrained in the history of Hyrule from its very inception. Link, a young boy clad in green, is always destined to vanquish evil and save Hyrule, however, what if Link was betrayed by those he called allies? Before Hyrule prospered, before Skyloft was created, a hero lived in the land of Hylia, and though his deeds earned him legendary status amongst the peoples of Hylia, there were those who resented the hero. Framed for a crime he did not commit, the young man was cast in chains, forever to be locked away. That is, until the traitor's plot was uncovered. However, years had passed as the hero rotted away in a murky cellar. Could he truly forgive the people their sins? Could he accept their offer to save them once more from the encroaching armies of darkness? Could he take on that mantle once more and be the hero he had forged himself as? Or would he leave them to burn...?

The goddesses have decided to mix it up. The pieces have found new homes and the new hero must work her way to defeat who she once knew as her hero. Ganondorf, whom they worked so hard to defeat, is supposed to be her close ally. As Zelda fights Link, she meets others who have inherited spirits through the cycles. She tells him about where she has been for the past five years, and once Link finds out the truth, he dedicates his days to helping Zelda feel safe and happy again away from her selfish, rich father Rhoam and her forced fiance, Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda. The Hylian-Gerudo War by Hyrule_Historian

The Gerudo race; humiliated by the Hylians prior to the end of the great Unification War, their King embarks on a journey to Hyrule to once again swear fealty to the Hylian crown. However, Lord Ganondorf possesses great information about the Royal Family's secret, and with this information, he plots to use it to enter the sacred realm, claim the Triforce, and save his dying race. Though his great plan fails by the hands of a young boy. The Royal Crown, ultimately angered by Lord Ganondorf's plan, wage war on he and his race. A novel written through the eyes of a young Gerudo warrior in pursuit of freedom, who is accompanied by another young Gerudo, and their Lord. They embark on a great mission, a journey across the land of Hyrule to take back what should've been theirs. Join her as she manages to survive through a harsh battle when all the odds are against her. (This will contain numerous Zelda theory, and shall be very detailed. If you wanted to find a story on what it was like during the Hylian-Gerudo civil war, then you have come to the right book. And I intend on writing more.)

Somehow he has..that weird feeling that he used to know her...

If you haven't read the prequel of this story, I highly recommend reading it before starting on this if you don't want to get confused. Moving from the past of breath of the wild, we finally get to the game portion of the story. (Story) 100 years after the tragedy that was the Great Calamity, Hyrule has finally seemed to have regained its footing. However, the seal on Calamity Ganon seems to be weakening, threatening to break any day now. Fortunately for Hyrule, a hero who has been thought long dead finally returns from a long slumber. That hero is Link. After sleeping for 100 years, Link seems to have lost all of his memories, especially the memories of his failure to protect those that he loved. of course, All rights to any known part of the game go to Nintendo please Nintendo, do not strike me down before I finish this series.
