  the earth is slowly fading away, the negative energy of sex, drugs, and cars runs rampant as the pumping of the engine and how many horses it hauls is only ones main concern. 

Yet answer me this, why on this toxic planet of questions and woes did the elevation of humanity come about mutations, and magic?

  The top layer of the earth mainly lies dry ; dust thick and layered over the years of pain -the earth had to endure, water sources rare. The sun, unpredictable, maybe even reading the stars at night can be tricky. The underground has somehow thrived through the sweat, blood, and tears.

I may do a rewrite for this story, because I'm embarrassed by how it turned out.

Wormholes and Wanderlust by MisterCantaloupe

This story follows the young prodigy Grant Alan, a scholar turned telekinetic, surviving in a strange new world after the colossal science vessel, the Halfpace, passes into a future very foreign to him, populated by anthropomorphic creatures that have dominated humanity after a planet-wide war. To ultimately find out what happened to the last vestiges of humanity, Grant must use his wits, friendships and newfound power to navigate this new and dangerous world while an ancient, malevolent force slowly corrupts its new anthro leaders. I wrote this because I was partly inspired by "A Man In A Beast's World" by @GhillieCamo. Admittedly, my head was kind of in two places when writing this. Part of me wanted to create this really thoughtful, slow-burning, thriller sci-fi story experience with lots of lore and things to mull over, and the other half wanted to make a human x anthro romance story, dripping with provocative scenes, dialogue and drama. I'd say the story has both, but more of the former, which I think is ultimately better than if it was the other way around. I don't claim to be the best, or even good, at storytelling, and there are definitely a couple issues I have in my story, but people have been telling me they really like this story. As of 12/29/2024, this story does not violate any of Wattpad's Terms Of Service/Content Guidelines; All characters depicted in sex scenes are consenting adults. This story does NOT promote self harm or violence and does NOT include illegal sex acts of any kind. (edit) I forgot to add that this started out as a confessional journal about becoming clean after a 10 year + addiction to OTC cold meds, but that was not my style of writing, I liked the material so I wanted to expand it into a novel length work featuring the journal elements. To say this work is a roller coaster would put it lightly. Although there are elements of time travel I would consider my sudden transitions reality travel. I use actual experience and dreams as a foundation, then toss in some fourth wall breaking narratives (meta-fiction), with a sprinkling of facts and quotations from songs and factual articles. It tends to be written similarly to an essay sans the boring. I have been influenced strongly by Vonnegut and W. S. Burroughs , and a wide variety of album rock, and that bleeds through. The tags dystopian and dark humor describe the whole piece best but there is a lot of genre jumping. I've done a good deal of research, not just for factual things but for the type of writing I do. Although not technically fan fiction, there is a nod to Final Fantasy games. The cover photo is a shared copyright, Brian Barbour took the photo, I added treatments.

"So I don't make you feel any type of way?" He asked, curiously. "Nope." I said. Without warning, he put his hand down my skirt and to my pearl. He rubbed it, causing me to moan out loud. He chuckled before putting on a devilish grin. "I thought so." He whispered in my ear. He rubbed faster. I moaned louder. I felt like I was in Heaven. 18+ PEOPLE!!! There is sexual content in parts of this book.
