This is a lot Korra and Asami. Asami is 18 and just broke up with her boyfriend mako. She gets grounded and learns that her dad is bringing a guest over to stay with with for a while. The guest is Korra who is going to start working for Mr. Sato she is 17 and moved away from home to start a new life.

Being the second Avatar is not an easy job... Avatar Korra is now in Republic City with her best friend Yue. There they meet their friends Mako, Bolin and Asami. Korra and Yue face many difficulties, Yue especially as she tries to keep Korra out of trouble and prison and protect her from many threats they come across. During their adventures their friendship and trust is tested as Yue's secrets come to light along with her approaching marriage. Her biggest secret of all is becoming harder to hide. Can she do what she is meant to do and protect Korra? Even if it costs a life, her own life? Will love be even a thought? This is the story of Princess Yue, the second Avatar

After a heart-wrenching breakup with Asami, Korra returns to Zaofu to train metalbending with Master Kuvira, who is under house arrest at the Beifong Estate. Meanwhile in Republic City, Asami gets entangled in her own affairs. Taking place roughly six months after Ruins of the Empire, our three heroines go on respective inner and outer journeys, finally coming together with Team Avatar to save the world. She hates that she had to leave just as she and Asami were getting close, but their bond grows even deeper despite being half a world away, so deep that she begins to wonder if Asami is more than a best friend to her. This fic is going to be in 3 parts. This is part one, written in letter form: the unread letters between Korra and Asami while Korra is in the South Pole recovering from being poisoned. Part two in this series will take place in the South Pole almost a year after Korra left and Asami comes to visit.
