How did Death get his Scythe?

A fallen angel changes the course of the universe through a simple act of kindness, but suffers eternal consequences. Now as the physical manifestation of "the end", Death must navigate human history, supported by a large cast of mortals and deities as he tries to understand his place in the Universe. An alternative history of humanity's past, present and future played out against a backdrop of existentialism and God-level politics.
