***I'm back. I know it's been two years. But I'm back. Officially not on hold anymore!! (I'm so sorry)
***
Some people keep secrets to protect others. Some people lie to do the same. The victims always say they would rather hear the truth, the buried secrets, than be lied to. Because that's betrayal, isn't it?

But what if the reasons for lies and secrets are necessary to protect those from themselves? What if, by telling a truth, one creates room FOR betrayal?

What if the truth hurts more than the lie?

***
It had never crossed Clarianna Sinclair's mind that her entire life might have been a lie. Sure, the gods didn't have a squeaky clean reputation, but she didn't think whatever they were hiding from her would be THAT bad.

It was that bad. Worse, actually. And the thing was, the truth did hurt more than the lie.

Because the prophecy revealed to her on the darkest day of the year was dark as hell and just as confusing. Half a year later, she still hadn't unravelled it. All she knew was that it was about her, the war, and the ominous promise of a last shadow.

***
Luke knew that the truth hurt. It always did. But he also knew head one was the only way to face it. He also knew that betrayal was just part of the human character, and everyone betrayed and was betrayed eventually. Promises were made to be broken, after all. But he still wasn't prepared for it. He didn't expect it to come from the one person he thought he could trust.

She had left him. Without a word, even after everything they'd gone through together. Without her, he was adrift in the vast sea with no tether to shore. No one other than the titan down in the pit, who, he was beginning to think, had been a mistake. A terrible mistake. But there was nothing he could do about it now, not when he was this deep, and certainly not when she wasn't here. Little did he know that, even when she came back, she wouldn't be the same girl who had left him.

Pleasure to meet you. There must be a reason why you are changing the events of time, huh? I won't ask, but I still know it's important. If you are back in time, Heracles and Perseus aren't here, then things are certainly going to go down." With that she stepped back, but only a little bit. They were still pretty close to each other. The green mist now was up to her neck. "How did you-" Perseus started to say, but she cut him off. "Beware of changing the events of time, Percy. There will be consequences. If you don't pay up for them, someone else will." Before he could say anything else, she was swallowed by the green mist. They were back in the real world. Perseus looked around, confused as ever. His eyes caught hers one last time. She didn't smile. She whispered something, and somehow he could hear it even if she was all the way at the end of the row of stalls. "Good luck." ------------------------------------------------------ Made in March-August 2021.

Percy Jackson grew up in the town of Manhattan, New York. He was a nobody there. At his school, he had no one but his best friend, Annabeth Chase. They'd been friends since they were in kindergarten, when he stood up for her when a boy told her she was a nerd. Annabeth Chase knew one thing from the moment she became friends with a sea-green-eyed boy named Percy. He meant a lot to her in ways no one understood. Because through all her struggles back home, he was the goofball that kept her smiling at school. Thalia Grace knew there wasn't a place she could call home. Her mother was a drunk. Her dad was nowhere to be seen. But Thalia stayed for the protection of the roof. Not for her mother's long drunken fits. Kelp Head. That's what she called Percy. Because she loved him. But hated him because he was so happy. Nico Di Angelo thought no one could understand his pain when his sister, Bianca, died. He decided to blame it on himself. But he mainly blamed it on the sea-green-eyed boy also caught in the attack. Why did Bianca have to die and not him? Inside, he knew it wasn't Percy's fault. He knew Percy had no fault in it and that Nico was just crazy. And he didn't hate Percy. He loved Percy. But when life comes to you from the moment you are born, the only thing your mother could say to God was "help". Because life is cruel. When you love someone, they're taken. That's what happened when Percy disappeared from their lives when they were twelve. When he came back, a whole different person. When he came back with different friends. When he didn't even spare them a glance. Because love was crueler than hate. If hate even existed. But Annabeth didn't think he changed for no reason. She suspected something was behind it. What happened to Percy in those four years? #1 in percabeth (8/25/21) #2 in annabethchase (9/4/21)

"Oh would you shut up!" Pandora yelled at the boy across from her. "Or what? What are you going to do? That witchy shit you love to do or maybe splash me?!" Luke laughed sharply as he started towards Pandora. She shook her head as a small gasp left her lips as her back hit the wall, "looks like you've ran out of places to go Crescent" he said tauntingly as she looked away from him. He lightly pulled her head back to look at him as he gave a wicked smile as he leaned in to whisper in her ear, "you may be the daughter of Poseidon but your mine now" he whispered sending a shiver down her spine as they held eye contact. Pandora Nightgood wasn't like your normal demigod, having a mortal and immortal parent. No, she had a Nereid for a mother and Poseidon as her father. A story that has repeated throughout the centuries but nothing came of it until Pandora was born. He fled the first chance he got as he was reminded of the oath he had broken for the first time since the oath was made back at the end of World War 2. But like Pandora's box nothing stays a mistry for long. The now 17 year old has been at Camp Half Blood for 9 years as she tries to grapple with her powers she was given and struggles to find some sort of normality within her hectic life, but what happens when a boy named Percy Jackson stumbles into her life? Will he affect her life in more ways than one? And how will he affect the relationships she's worked so hard to build. Have you ever felt like everything you've ever worked for was for nothing? That every problem, every struggle, you've gotten through has led you to nowhere? Well let me tell you something. Everything happens for a reason, and everything is either good or bad or somewhere in between. That doesn't mean you should just lie down and take whatever the fates throw at you. Ever since I can remember I've never liked being tied down by rules. Anybody who knows me, which is apparently a lot of people, can tell you that. I've learned that sometimes you can change your definition. Your very existence can become something else if you only try so hard. I also learned that this comes with a price. What price I hear you asking? Well.... first I'd say you have to get rid of everything that makes you, you. Or maybe you get stripped of it. That's how you remake yourself. Start from only what you know and build from that. To become something different you've got to let go of what holds you down. In my case I was forced to. Yeah yeah. Go ahead and laugh, it's kinda cheesy. But Percy Jackson doesn't take any flack from critics so calm down. Anyway. The way I lost everything, the way everything I'd known and believed in, was whisked away from me just like that is within this book. This is a story about how I, Percy Jackson Scourge of Olympus, become something new. How? I got... well.... I got left behind, in the dust. My flaws finally caught up to me. But I rose from that. And this is how.... -- A B A N D O N E D

"The Olympians have been called many things, but forgiving is not one of them." * - * - * [adventure, dark comedy, romance - book 1] Loyalty. What did it mean? As the Second Titan War raged across the United States, Half-Bloods began to pick sides. To some Half-Bloods, loyalty meant fighting for their godly parent. For some Half-Bloods it meant standing beside their friends. Sometimes those two definitions of loyalty clashed. They pulled to either side of the war. And sometimes, Half-Bloods picked the wrong side. When the war comes to a close, the traitor Luke Castellan repents of his actions long enough to kill Kronos and is given a funeral with honor. His final act granted him redemption. But what about the living? Who redeems them in the eyes of the gods? This is the story of three Half-Bloods who become the sacrificial lambs on the altar of repentance to the Olympians.
