The anime "Wave!!" takes place in the city of Ōarai in Ibaraki prefecture.
It revolves around Masaki Hinaoka and a transfer student Shō Akitsuki. They meet before the summer break and Masaki starts surfing because of his new friends. He gets to know a lot of new friends through surfing and will also drift apart from them again during their journey to adulthood.
Not until another girl surfer joins in, she was the popular student at the same school as Sho and Masaki. While taking a stroll at the beach with Tanaka when she first transferred, she noticed how it was so breathtaking to ride the waves on seeing the smiles on the surfers surfing.
Joining their journey on riding huge and narrow waves, well, what could happened?..
