The following includes a series of short poems that touch upon the subject of friendship, specifically those that are toxic, one-sided, and problematic. These poems, as I should note, are mostly drawn from my very own personal experiences, and I have chosen to express my feelings through writing because it provides me comfort and warmth. The first poem is titled "Parties Are A Great Escape," in which the speaker chooses to leave the party early so that he could return home, without his friend, and reflect upon their friendship. The second, "Competitive Nature," is about the speaker's feelings towards his friend's labeling of him as a competition. The third, fourth, and fifth are TBA.
