Lily Burkhardt was a ten-year-old little sister of Nick Burkhardt, their parents died when Lily was only a newborn and Nick was only fourteen, their aunt Marie Kessler their mum's sister looked after them until Nick was eighteen and Lily was four when Marie was diagnosed with cancer, so Nick took Lily into his care. Nick is now twenty-four living with his girlfriend Juliette and his little sister Lily, when Nick and Lily find out they have a special gift.
