Candice (Candi) is a well-rounded outgoing girl. She lives on the southside where there gang violence and people get shot everyday. Her brother Dante was killed in a shootout, by someone from the northside. She attends Brady High School where the good suffer with the bad, and the teachers have no faith in the students having a future. Candice wants to make it out to bigger and better things, and she hope's for a life changing miracle. Her Sophomore year she meets Carlos.
Carlos loves baseball, to him baseball is everything. He lives on the northside who has beef with the southside. Carlos' brother Dominic (Nico) supposedly shot Dante, but only the gang knows who really killed him. Carlos is said to have a son, but no one except him knows if that's the truth or not. Carlos wants to play major league baseball, but the way his grades set up he might not make it to college. That's none of my business though, SIPS TEA!
