Alexandra Billoti lives in the city of Detroit and in one of the poorest streets where people struggle to survive. Brightmoor isn't so bright to Alex when she's living with abusive parents, making her spend nights over at the hospital about twice a month. Each day, when she takes the same route home, more homeless people fall to their knees on the sharp concrete just to beg for something just to get by. One of these days were different when she meets a homeless, young boy that creates such an amazing bond that Alex never had before. That day when she met the boy, her whole life, and her perspective of it, changed dramatically.
