Just turned 18, local vandal and teenage trouble-maker Jack lives only for the weekend. Alcohol, drugs, violence and problems with the authorities come one after another. He doesn't know where his life is going, and he doesn't care much about it either. Jack is a YOBBO, although he has never heard that word before. Only a middle-class upbringing and a loving family have saved him from complete disaster, until now. After a serious encounter with justice, his parents send him to England to keep him out of trouble. Poor folks don't know that UK's Council States are the World's Capital for anti-social behaviour. There Jack faces new problems and clashes with the local yobbos. Life as an immigrant was never meant to be easy either. Everything starts to look rather grim. Until the day he meets somebody that will change everything forever. But, will he escape from the nefarious influence of the home-grown asbo yobs and sort his life out, or will he ruin everything as usual? A hilarious and at times painful trip through that critical period of life when we all have to stop being teenagers and become responsible adults.

There is a sequel to this book! Lola Pearce is a 17 year old who lived in London, England until her parents decided to move to Santa Monica after a family death, they saw it as a new venture and a path to making success of their family name and expand their struggling business; but will Lola like it? What secrets does she have? Was her home life really all that perfect? Will she see this move as a chance to start a fresh and maybe make her life a little easier? Better? Maybe.. but certainly not easy if she falls for the stereotypical 'bad boy'. In this case that is no other than Jack Trueblood. Popular and maybe a little arrogant. The girls love him. The boys respect him. His reputation for boxing is celebrated by all; but it is really a passion or just a necessity in his life? Is his life really as picture perfect as everyone thinks? He would answer that no one can ever understand what it is like to lead a double life, but maybe meeting a certain new girl changes his perception on what a double life really is. Will Jack and Lola get along, or are they maybe just too similar? And how much will Jacks lifestyle get in the way?
