Not affected by alcohol; not drunk.

Everyone talks about the common effects of drugs and alcohol. The difference from being sober, drunk, or high. Sure, it's hard to stop drinking. Sure, it's hard to quit smoking. It's hard to give up an addiction.

But the thing that left the biggest affect on me, the one that I would never be able to quit and that scares me so much because it hits you out of nowhere... well, it was you.

How do you become sober from a drug addiction? Well, that's easy, you go to rehab. How do you become sober from a person? You can't.

First part of the Beverage-Series Seoul, South Korea. Inbetween of skyscrapers and millions of people, there are two people who somehow seem to always hit the Rock Bottom of life. Mentally, financially, always down to do whatever it takes to somehow get through the day. Kim Jaehyun, who barely hit the 25-Years-Barrier last year, is one of these two people. With his parents deceased in a car accident two days after his fourteenth birthday, no closer family nearby and no place to go, he hit point zero when he dropped out of highschool to become one of Koreas famous idols. Obviously without any further success. He is talented, of course, but there always seemed to be people who were more talented, more handsome, more easygoing and stress-free. And after one of countless auditions he participated in, he got to a point where he just somehow gave up on his dream. Working in one out of a million convenience stores in Seoul, he started to spend almost all of his income in things, that would finally take away all of his pain... But something in his live started to change, without him realizing it, when he met Choi Jimin, who seemed to go through all and the same problems he knew from his everyday life. ****TRIGGER WARNING**** The story, you're about to read contains stuff like smoking, drug & alcohol abuse, abusive & toxic relationships, depression, selfharm, anxiety and vulgar language. Do or do not read, if you're going through any kinds of these things. It's up to you, but I warned you. Reader discretion is advised.

Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. As in any coming of age story, they will experience growing pains... but will they survive them before its too late? PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.

Life seems out of reach for him and well, so does everything else life has to offer. He yearns to live but is afraid of what it might lead to. Liam is a senior in High School but is ignoring the trauma that has been affecting him. He hates remembering but is stuck living in the past. He is living his life to the fullest but isn't alive at all. This Young Adult novel is about the lives of teen brothers who must deal with a decision that changes the course of their lives and shatters their family connection. The twin brothers must learn to unearth hurt, secrets, and misunderstandings to start their family's healing process. "...there were a lot of things I was forced to learn and that made me resent my family for it. One of them is the fact that I learned more about family at rehab than I ever did when I was home." - Lincoln "I always had this plan. A plan where I would graduate high school with the highest GPA, get a full-ride baseball scholarship to Stanford University, and then work my way to the major league baseball teams. It was a plan I had made with Lincoln when we were younger. A dream we shared to play baseball together. A dream that died when he overdosed." - Liam
