Not affected by alcohol; not drunk.

Everyone talks about the common effects of drugs and alcohol. The difference from being sober, drunk, or high. Sure, it's hard to stop drinking. Sure, it's hard to quit smoking. It's hard to give up an addiction.

But the thing that left the biggest affect on me, the one that I would never be able to quit and that scares me so much because it hits you out of nowhere... well, it was you.

How do you become sober from a drug addiction? Well, that's easy, you go to rehab. How do you become sober from a person? You can't.

First part of the Beverage-Series Seoul, South Korea. Inbetween of skyscrapers and millions of people, there are two people who somehow seem to always hit the Rock Bottom of life. Mentally, financially, always down to do whatever it takes to somehow get through the day. Kim Jaehyun, who barely hit the 25-Years-Barrier last year, is one of these two people. With his parents deceased in a car accident two days after his fourteenth birthday, no closer family nearby and no place to go, he hit point zero when he dropped out of highschool to become one of Koreas famous idols. Obviously without any further success. He is talented, of course, but there always seemed to be people who were more talented, more handsome, more easygoing and stress-free. And after one of countless auditions he participated in, he got to a point where he just somehow gave up on his dream. Working in one out of a million convenience stores in Seoul, he started to spend almost all of his income in things, that would finally take away all of his pain... But something in his live started to change, without him realizing it, when he met Choi Jimin, who seemed to go through all and the same problems he knew from his everyday life. ****TRIGGER WARNING**** The story, you're about to read contains stuff like smoking, drug & alcohol abuse, abusive & toxic relationships, depression, selfharm, anxiety and vulgar language. Do or do not read, if you're going through any kinds of these things. It's up to you, but I warned you. Reader discretion is advised.

*DISCLAIMER* READ AT YOUR OWN RISK: This book deals with serious topics and themes of drug use, PTSD, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and suicide attempts. This book contains realistic depictions of opioid use. Recovered and recovering addicts should proceed with caution. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The 12 Steps is a gripping Young Adult novel that follows twin brothers Lincoln and Liam as they navigate the weight of trauma, addiction, and family fractures. Lincoln, a high school senior, is seven months sober and struggling to reconnect with a life that feels just out of reach. He wants to move forward but fears where the future might lead. Liam, also a senior, buries his pain beneath a reckless façade, desperate to outrun the past that haunts him. While one brother fights for control, the other refuses to acknowledge his own unraveling. When a life-altering incident shakes their already fragile bond, Lincoln and Liam must confront long-buried secrets, painful truths, and the damage that has fractured their family. The 12 Steps is a powerful story of resilience, healing, and the journey toward forgiveness-both of others and of oneself. "...there were a lot of things I was forced to learn and that made me resent my family for it. One of them is the fact that I learned more about family at rehab than I ever did when I was home." - Lincoln "I always had this plan. A plan where I would graduate high school with the highest GPA, get a full-ride baseball scholarship to Stanford University, and then work my way to the major league baseball teams. It was a plan I had made with Lincoln when we were younger. A dream we shared to play baseball together. A dream that died when he overdosed." - Liam

Relapse Like Hell

8 parts Complete

People in the town knew Vance had done drugs. They knew the family he came from. Addiction, they knew what he was going to become. It ran in his family, he was bound to inhabit the geane. One thing most wouldn't know about addiction is that, you can't just stop. Your bound to relapse one day, its like a bomb, its going to go off. Vance knew Bruce had little to know idea he had done drugs in the past. He know Bruce thought it was a rumor or one time thing. He didn't know it was like this thought. Only people close to Vance knew it wasn't a rumor. They had seen him at his peak of addiction. When he would go days without eating. Or when he felt so worthless he cut himself. And the drugs, oh the drugs. this book is a little like the show euphoria but different, there will be mass differences in the characters and setting and parents. This book follows Vance relapsing and not feeling like he can get better. Enjoy:) BTW I'm going to take away the TW warning because the warnings are in the hashtags
