Peter lives with regret, the unfortunate byproduct of a overly analytic mind. He believed the life he had built for himself would be drastically improved by always making the right decision based on the facts and the circumstances which were presented before him. Every life decision, both the minute and the extreme, required valid reasoning for whatever choice needed to be made. It was a reasoning that had be thoroughly vetted by passing through the gauntlet that was his own seemingly infallible logic. But time, disappointment, and unmet expectations have caused him to question his logic, and those feelings of doubt are further amplified when Pete meets that one person who had truly known him before he learned to hide his emotion under the cloak of reason, before he had become The Scientist.
