The Void

The world didn't end with a bang as people said it would. It was nowhere near that. There was lots of screaming actually, and a couple of explosions, but nothing too dramatic. Victims were running for cover while armies attacked, led by their king, a man they called Commander Knox.

A few years after the attacks a young boy named Keith Waters was taken away from his family and stripped of all of his memories. Commander Knox brings him to the void and puts him in Squad D, a team known for their imperfections and escapades. The void is a safe place, away from all the creatures of the world, but Keith and his friends have yet to realise that the outside world isn't that bad, despite the fact that monsters try to kill you nearly every ten seconds.
