The story of Lukas Alexander Durham, a poor college student who works in a little coffee shop called "Bitter Taste". His life is pretty average and boring. except for the estranged forest beside his dorms. Excerpt: The woods looked like a sort of painting, the wood and bark of the oak and birch; the brush strokes, whereas the mixes of cool and warm colors of the coming fall that illuminated the leave, even at midnight, were the smallest dots and details of the artwork. Every night this was where my troubles blew away in the wind yet somehow, tonight was different.
