For Rose, her whole life growing up as a royal she was expected to be and act like a leader. However she is afraid she wont have time to experience life itself. So she cuts a deal with her parents. If she's is allowed to live out her life in America as a doctor by herself she will find her future wife, and return to the kingdom to ascend the throne.
