The gods have also been dying as the earth fades and belief in them wanes so the remaining three band together to make one last stand. 

Three humans are chosen as their champions, each gifted a dragon. One the hero, one the villain, one the warrior. 

The three dragons and their bonded must set things right at a terrible cost.

In this story the villain wins.
